How to Create a New User

This guide shows you how to create a new user in the .legal platform

To add a new user:

  • Go to Settings > Users
  • Click Create User
  • Fill in:
    • Name
    • Email
    • Role (admin or standard user)
    • Optional: business area
    • Optional: full group access

Activation Email

After saving, the user receives an activation email with a link to create a password and log in. If you're using SSO, the user logs in via AD without setting a password.

📘 Note: If the activation link expires, you can resend it. See next article.

If you are using advanced group management, you will select the group companies this user should be able to access after creation. Unless you have selected "Full group access" if so, the user will already have access to all your group companies.

If you use "Advanced user and role management" addon, you can select the roles you have created, as a role for a user. A user can have multiple roles.
