Transferring Contract Managers on Contracts
How do contract manager transfers work?
You can transfer a contract manager on selected contracts, and the associated tasks/obligations are updated as part of that transfer. You can also transfer only specific selected contracts, instead of transferring everything at once.
How do I transfer only the contracts I want?Use the selection controls to choose the contracts you want to transfer, then transfer only those selected items.
- Select the individual contracts you want to overtake.
- Transfer the selected contracts.
- Confirm that only the selected contracts were transferred.
If you select all contracts at the top, the transfer applies to all obligations linked to those contracts.
What happens to tasks and obligations during a transfer? When a contract is transferred, the related tasks are updated as well. In the export, the "Activity" column refers to the obligation or task itself. If you transfer the contract on the first line from one responsible person to another, the related tasks are updated too.
What should I do if I need to transfer a contract manager to someone else?If you need another person to become the contract manager on a given contract, the contract manager must be changed on that contract. In practice, this can be done by the relevant colleague or by an administrator who can update the contract manager on the contract.
Troubleshooting: What if the transfer does not behave as expected? If transferring contracts affects more obligations than intended, check whether all items were selected at the top. Selecting everything transfers all obligations, while selecting contracts individually transfers only those chosen items.
If contract search does not return the expected result, try searching by contract name.
