Using the Risk Widget on the Dashboard
The risk widget shows you the number of risks identified across your systems, vendors, and processing activities. It gives you an instant view of your organisation’s exposure.
You can use the widget to:
- Monitor how many risks are open
- Track how many have been accepted or mitigated
- Navigate directly to the Risk Management module
Understanding the Risk Indicators
The widget displays three key figures:
- Open risks: Risks that need review or action
- Mitigated risks: Risks with controls applied
- Accepted risks: Risks accepted by the organisation
Each number is clickable and links to the relevant risk overview.
Open, mitigated, and accepted risks are visualised directly
Tip: Risk data is automatically pulled from your systems, assets and vendors — you don’t need to create risks manually.
What Is Considered a "Risk"?
Risks shown in the widget are based on:
- Asset-level risks in your systems
- Risk assessments of vendors (data processors)
- Risks identified in processing activities
Each risk is assessed based on likelihood and impact, and assigned a severity level.
Risk levels are based on impact × likelihood
Navigate to the Full Risk Overview
