What Are Assets, and Why Do They Matter?

In the platform, assets are the systems and components your organisation uses to handle data. This includes classic IT systems, but can also cover operational equipment like sensors, endpoints, or machines — especially relevant for cybersecurity and NIS2 compliance.

Assets are fundamental to:

  • GDPR documentation
  • Risk management
  • Security and audit tracking

Examples of Assets

  • Microsoft 365
  • CRM or ERP systems
  • Cloud services
  • IoT devices (e.g. a sensor in a warehouse)

Each asset is registered with key metadata, vendor details, risk classification and more.
