Review an observation and convert it to a risk

Go through what has been reported and decide whether it becomes a risk scenario or is closed.

Reported observations arrive in an inbox to be reviewed. Not everything needs to become a risk, and closing an observation is a perfectly good outcome, as long as it is a decision rather than neglect.

  1. Go to Risk and open Observations.
  2. Open an observation from the inbox to read what was reported.
  3. Decide what it is. If it should be closed, click Archive and write the reason.
  4. If it should become part of your risk work, click Convert to risk scenario.
  5. Select the risk area and the entity the risk relates to.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Now you can use the observation as a risk scenario in the selected risk areas.

The person responsible for the risk area is notified automatically by email. From there the scenario is assessed like any other, with consequence, probability and justification.
