This article describes the fundamentals of Privacy and its overall features.
Processing activities are central for our Privacy product. Therefore, it is important that you understand this concept.
What is a processing activity?
A processing activity can be translated into a work process where you process personal data. It can be both ordinary and sensitive personal data. Ordinary personal data includes all information that is not classified as sensitive personal data. This can for example be identification information such as name, address, age and education. Sensitive personal data is information about race and ethnic origin, political beliefs, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union affiliation, genetic data, biometric data for unique identification, health information and sexual relations or sexual orientation. Furthermore, the data you process can both be internal data on employees and external data on customers and suppliers. An example of an internal processing activity within the HR area is "Payroll".
